One of the most exciting cities in Europe is Berlin. Berlin happens to be the capital of Germany and has a rich cultural life which is very diverse. Performances and events of all kinds are numerous. It is an international city, very open and tolerant of many cultures. This rich culture emanate after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. Central Berlin was the only surviving part of the city. These places left in the city centre drew many artists and they became the breeding ground for all sorts of cultures and underground against other cultures.
Today Berlin is the working capital city and a province of Germany. It is the country's biggest metropolis in area and population, and the moment virtually populous city in the European Union. Berlin is one of the most influential centres in European politics, culture and science
Berlin also serves as centre for junction of continental transport and is home to some of the world's most large universities, research faculties, and museums. The city is a major destination for tourists and is known for its different area of convention venues and mass media outlets.
